San Diego State University Georgiaengineering works for a teaching campus

A modern teaching campus brings together spaces of very different function - classrooms and laboratories - each with its own technical demands on heating, cooling and ventilation.

Facility: San Diego State University Georgia - Tbilisi

For San Diego State University Georgia, Biomi Holding designed the heating, cooling, ventilation and water-supply systems. Cooling is provided by an ÜNTES chiller and fan-coil system, and the spaces are supplied with heat-recovered air.

Laboratories and classrooms

The ventilation design treats the teaching laboratories separately, against the particular requirements set for them. The systems are equally fitted to the function and the load of the classrooms.

Architecture

The building combines open, loft-style areas with zones that have closed ceilings, so integrating the systems called for a combined approach.

Biomi Holding's solution brings spaces with different functional and technical requirements into one system - shaped around the specifics of this particular teaching environment.
